Say what needs to be said without anger

Leave blame and shame standing on the curb

Holding a grudge poisons you from the inside
Toxicity leaching into your days
Causing physical ailments and injuring your spirit

Stuffing it won't help
Only speaking helps
Yet cause no harm with your words
Come from a place of love for the other
And desire for healing and connection

Heal yourself and your surroundings

Slip-sliding

Being in rhythm with the universe is like riding a slipstream through obstacles.
I find the flow and drop into it.
When the time is right, things that seemed impossible are a breeze.

For more than a year, I have been putting off working on a book.
Too scary to really start, I did everything else.
I faced it yesterday while working side by side with another entrepreneur.
In thirty minutes, I had gathered 12 blog poems/essays for the book.

I dropped into the slipstream
Released the outcome
Let the work happen
And it was easy and exciting

Who would have thought?

Blustery day

A cold wind whips my hair
Finding gaps in my layers
It challenges the warmth of my body

Stirring things up, it brings change
A new temperature
Or rain or snow

Chaotic and rapidly shifting
Scattering leaves and branches
A force of nature
Unstoppable

How can I get some of that?

Insurance hides the cost

Insulating each of us from the full effect of the healthcare monolith we allowed

We were sold a story of necessity

Procedures and drugs beyond our ability to pay

Insurance became the answer to a broken system

While insurance companies rake in profits,
As do hospitals, drug companies, device manufacturers

Who do they serve?
Is our health improved with lifestyle changes?
Or will we be back with similar ailments or side effects from these treatments?

Try it

You can read about it until the cows come home.

But until you try it, you won't really know what it is like.

Staring into another's eyes searching for your self.
Climbing a mountain top.
Running a fast river.
Flying down a steep mountainside on a bike.
Forging a community where people care for each other.

One can write about these things.
Describing how it felt to them.
Yet your experience will be visceral,
If you do it yourself.
Your entire body will be able to recreate the event.
You can live the grand adventure again and again.

Try new things!  Do it!  You won't regret it.

Many ways to do the same thing

We get to choose which one aligns with us

Personal expression is part of manifesting

Making it our creation

Not that of someone else

Owning the work

Adding our personal flair

Is it work we are proud of?

Are we honing our craft?

Hacking your way

Sometimes the path is hard.
You have to fight your way through the thicket.
Overgrown branches bar your way.

But if you stop, you can only go back.
Or you must find a side trail.

Explorers never know where the path will lead.
They keep trying to find a route.
A route to the top or to their goal.

Lewis and Clark followed the river.
Hoping it would take them to the Pacific.
Mired down many times, they didn't give up.
Finally they reached the sea.

How do you keep going when each step is a struggle?

The sea

It calls

With welcoming waves

Inviting me to dance

A watery ballet

With colorful spinning fish

And leafy arms

Ever-present to and fro

The rhythm of the sea

Things look different after moving

After running

After dancing

After cycling

After swimming

The world looks rosy

More sunny

Filled with hope

For the love of complexity

Technology for the sake of technology

Is high tech better than low tech only because it is more complicated?
Why choose complicated when something simple suffices?

Simple food, like simple movement, has power in its simplicity
Not a lot can go wrong
Technology is the same

Conditioned to believe the latest is the greatest
