Witnessing their struggle to bring the work into the world
Adding your voice behind theirs
To create a groundswell
Supporting from below or behind
Putting them out front
To lead
A firm belief they can do it

Touch is important
Without it babies fail to thrive And die Touch cements the connection Reminds us in a physical way We are one of a whole Sheltering alone for almost 2 years Leaves few opportunities for hugs Or any human touch Mental health suffers as touch disappears Healing touch Who in your life needs to hear this? Please consider sharing it. Photo by Josue Escoto Times are tough out there
I feel changed deeply by the pandemic Less sure of my path Skittish Craving connection with people, yet afraid of them Alone So alone It's times like these that it's good to remember, we are not alone All of us went through this together Each of us has scars from it And that is okay Cut yourself some slack and keep holding on However that looks for you It will be all right again We can lean on each other Who needs a phone call from you today? It might help you as much as them HT: Charlie Mackesy The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse. Photo by Simon Godfrey It's easy to get lost in a make believe story.
A heroic quest to save the day perhaps. Or that of the outsider or victim. We bash along living nearly the same day over and over. A ground hog day of sorts. If we can stop the chatter in our head long enough, we can be present. From presence comes observing And from observing discernment What is really going on here? Wear a scarf to protect the Great Hammer (Da Zhui). The prominence at the base of the neck. And to protect the wind gates and mansions at the top of the neck. Keeping your neck warm in winter during your daily walks will reward you with good health. Photo by Karen Cantú Q The pair of great horned owls hoo-hoo in the early dawn
Sweet comfort their voices bring They sing of trees, cacti, and rabbits Packrats and lizards Of their owlets now grown Of things seen in the night And the night's hunt You can see them here Photo by Rúben Marques Rubber bands stretch and recoil.
They grow longer as we stretch them. They also store energy from our pull. We can launch them to sail across the room. Humans are the same. We grow when stretched. And store energy from the pull. When launched, we can sail..... where? And yes it can be uncomfortable to stretch. Don't stretch too far. Just far enough to grow. To gain elasticity. |
