So the saying goes. We can't make things better without breaking some things.
I decided to improve the format of subject line and text snippet in my blog email. It was learning the RSS feed syntax, which is the way my website packs up my blog post so that the automatic mailer can see the post and send it. I didn't have it right, so I left the campaign paused this weekend. And forgot it was not setup. When the blog didn't arrive, I figured it out. I send it to myself for this very reason.
Fiddled with the formatting yesterday and rescheduled the blog email for yesterday. I did a quick test, but I just glanced at it. So, it turns out I botched the inside of the email trying to format the subject line. I am hoping it will come out right today since I couldn't send more tests. I learned much about how all these systems work together. It was fascinating.
Bottom line: Things don't always turn out on the way to better. And you have a great opportunity to learn many new things by being bold enough to experiment.
My apologies for the mess.
