In this time of sheltering, I am struck by the kindness of strangers.
Neighbors who don’t know me, but see me as more and more of us head outside to walk in the evenings from a safe distance. They all wave. We share the same struggle. Fear, isolation, and concern for our fellow humans. An older neighbor asks me about my business. Worried that I need help, he makes me promise to ask him if I need anything.
What an amazing time we live in! Never in a million years did I expect to see the kindness and care of total strangers for each life around them. May it never end. I hope this is a lesson that we all remember forever. What would our world look like if each individual remembers the warm concern for their neighbors? And since the world is a smaller place, we are all neighbors.
