When my children were little and threw tantrums
I walked away.
Best not to reward bad behavior.
They were literally crying out for attention, but in a destructive way.
Inconsolable in the moment, I sought to teach them to control themselves first.
Once they were more calm, I could get to the bottom of it. And sometimes they were just unhappy things didn't go their way.
A tantrum with a microphone spreads unhappiness.
The thing about tantrums is that they are pure emotion.
No logic comes near a tantrum. It's not a reasonable protest appealing for justice.
An adult throwing a tantrum doesn't need a microphone.
